Summary:
This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a wide variety of equipment, ranging from lawn and garden equipment to construction equipment with a focus on agricultural equipment.
Service technicians will be required to perform many tasks including, engine overhauls, transmission repairs, hydraulic repairs, electrical repairs, AC repairs, hydraulic pump repairs, hydraulic cylinder repairs, gear box repairs, setting up equipment, cooling system repairs, baler repairs, diesel system repairs, gasoline system repairs and common diagnostics are all common items of work to be accomplished by the service technician.
The service technician is required to keep an open line of communication with the service department to correctly inform the customer of the repair being required.
The technician is required to keep accurate notation of the job description, serial number, and engine hours on the piece of equipment being repaired.
Any question of the repair being needed should be addressed with the service department.
Duties and Tasks:
Pre-deliver, inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair agricultural equipment Order parts and prepare repair estimates Prepare accurate inspection and service reports and maintain other records as required.
Keep work areas clean and orderly Work in a safe manner Comply with company policies and government regulations Physical Requirements:
Capable of lifting and carrying object weighing up to 60 pounds.
Able to crawl and climb on/under agricultural and heavy equipment Walk over agricultural/excavation sites (irregular terrain) Stoop, bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time Able to operate a motor vehicle day and night
Qualifications:
